What is a comparably equipped new one worth? Once you have this price take at least 20% off or more depending on overall condition. Remember one thing about an ex-landscaper tractor though...........how many student cowboys abused it?

a few things to think about. what is the price of new 7500 and is it equipted with the same attachments? the 7300 is smaller than the 7500, and the hr.meters show hrs.@ pto speeds, at lesser rpms the hr.meter is not accurate. on my b2400 i figure u need to add at least 25% more hrs to make up the diff. between meter hrs and actual hours. if the tractor is in really good shape and u can live with lower hp. then the price seems ok. it might be helpful to fill in your profile a bit, so we can get a better grasp of your intended needs. welcome aboard. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

My cousin-in-law has a landscaping business and he says he would never buy used equipment from a lanscaping business unless it came with an enforcable written guarantee for the reason Woodbeef mentions above - student operators!!
He feels he will do the proper maintenance and work his Kubota to death then buy new.

If they only put 400 hours on it in 3 years, it couldn't have been much of a landscaping business. I suspect it was run at really low RPMs (lugging it too much) or the hour meter was disconnected for awhile. I put almost 200 hours on my tractor using it only weekends for personal use in a little over 1 year.
Also, I don't believe the B7300 has power steering, which can really be a help if you do much FEL work or maneuvering in tight spaces.
I'm not saying it isn't a good deal -- just that something looks suspicious about the hours and the possible student cowboy issue /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif.

The B7300 does not have power steering. I know this for sure 'cause one is parked in my garage /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif. It is a great little tractor, but 10,500 is nearly what I paid for mine new, over five years ago. For that price, I got a loader and a brush hog. The tiller is a nice attachment, and worth some $$$, though.
I don't know. I've got 450 hours on my tractor in five years - but I've been a "weekend warrior" and don't use it daily. I do run mine at relatively high RPMs, so I'm not so sure how much you need to worry about the hours. On the other hand, you don't know how well it has been maintained, nor how it was treated.
So it isn't neccessarily a bad deal, but I think for a few thousand more you can pick up a new B7500. I would recommend the power steering, and the B7500 has a couple more HP. Plus, right now Kubota will finance it for 0%, so you can use your cash elsewhere (heck, buy a CD and make a few percent if nothing else).
Anyway, I love my B7300 so please don't think I'm knocking the tractor. If you can pick this one up for less $$$ I'd tell you to jump on it, but the price they are asking is probably very close to what they paid for it. If you know it is all well maintained and such it's not bad, but make sure about that!

I got the price down to $9300 but at further look that rear blade is a homemade job with serious abuse and the tiller is at least 50% of its usefull life left, the tractor appears to have been maintatined but I was curious when running with the hst and I took my foot off the pedal, it took quick a roll to stop on its own...is this normal? The new 7500s snap to a stop as soon as you lift off the pedal.
Also, any amount of load on the engin causes a plume of black smoke ? again, normal? Lack of PS is very noticeable with FEL attached.

One thing to consider: If you're financing used equipment rather than paying cash, the interest you pay may put you in the ballpark of a new machine with the current 0% financing.
