What ZD is replacing the discontinued ZD1511 Zero Diesel Turbo Mower ?

I actually looked at a single deck, cabbed 1585 I think it was when I bought my 1211. I think I paid $16K for my 1211 and the JD was north of $30K. My only issue with buying a used one is the same old problem. Buying someone's problem child. Sometimes you just have to make the leap. I've been lucky so far.

Was all set to buy a used Deere cabbed with AC 72” mower, but the noise inside the cab was said to be unbearable and the AC unit was kind of just slapped onto the side console. One of out local state parks has one for mowing and the guy who runs it says he doesn’t like it much.

I think Toro makes a cabbed machine with AC too

I saw this ZD1611 at the Washington County Fair in Greenwich NY today.
It has common rail & dpf so it’s unknown if problems were resolved.
Who will be the first to give it a try??
I think it was $23k minus $300.00 for cash deal from Salem Equipment.
Big break for cash

New ZD1611 landed yesterday
Several things has changed & been added compared to my ZD1511 which I still have.

It still has the same V1505 1.5L 4cyl Turbo engine

Notice the rear bumper out back & tie down loops on top of front axle

The new seat is more comfortable & has padded armrest.

An added aux cooler which I hadn’t found out yet what it’s cooling ….

fuel bowl, pump & inline filter has all been moved to the right rear where the battery is on my ZD1511

It also has a bigger inner & outer air filter similar to the F3710 front deck that I traded in on this machine.

I’m fairly pleased with my 1211’s. Definitely not overpowering, but getting the job done and very fast. Easy on fuel, too.

I wish they would have put the aux outlets on the 1211, like they do on the 1611. I mean does Kubota think 1211 operators don’t use cell phones, too?

That's a nice looking machine! The fuel filter location is where I added my Racor 2u filter / separator last year. I also removed the (2) individual tank filters and installed a pre-filter on the common line after the tanks.

Yea, a lot to like about those filters. The ones on my 1211 are cheesy at best. I put my zero turns on my car lift to do any work on them. Sure makes life easier.

I have a 2 post lift makes life a lot easier.

Did you remove the OE check valves at each filter ?

I left the check valves before the "T".
Result:
Tank > Check Valve > T > OEM Filter > OEM 12v Pump > Racor Filter > Secondary added 12v Pump > OEM Filter > Injector pump.

I really like your new mower! Sorry the F didn't work out, but better to move on and cut your losses.

Yea I couldn’t see keeping the expensive front deck as a backup mower since it wouldn’t stay on my bank sideways.
Big Heavy Commercial Zero fits my application way better.

I ran my ZD1511 6hrs ystrda & a 5hr ride today in super thick tall grass & I’m still not done : from so much rain the last 2wks that I couldn’t mow any.

Lots of grass here on the chicken farm

These V1505 4cyl Turbo motors are truly amazing although I could use more power like the F3710.

The 3cyl ZD1211 I sold few years back just wouldn’t muscle thru thick grass or hills.
