I guess if this is an inapropriate subject I'll get pinched but I had great success with the "Whatcha Eating?" thread I'd thought I'd try another. Most of the posters are over 21 and most are over 21 several times. Some don't drink for what ever reasons and thats fine, I wouldn't expect them to respond. My purpose with this thread is to open a conversation on the regionality or ethnic leaning of what a man/woman might drink sitting on their front porch after a long hot day of taking in hay, building fence, or cutting grass. I'll start. Considering were I live, you might think Falls City would be my choice......But no. I'm not drinking anything that did or might have come out the Ohio River. I've drank Miller Genuine Draft for several years but a friend at work reccomended Shiner Bock which I'm trying right now. I'll give it a thumbs up. What about in your neck of the woods?

In the hot summertime, I like a really cold beer, (usually Miller Lite) or margarita. Spring and fall, I like to unwind with a glass of white wine, not too dry, but sweet is fine. Really cold weather, I like Bourbon, or Vodka (preferably from the Austin/Dripping Springs area). So, I am not a picky drinker, but tend to change with the seasons.

I just had a couple of Third Shift Ale's, they're alright but not my not favorite.

Last week I saw something I never thought we'd ever have this far from Texas, six racks of Lone Star long necks.

After a long hot day of any kind of activity as strenuous as taking in hay or puttin up fencing...I'm going for a still slushy litre sized container of orange Gatorade.

Later on, maybe after a nice meal...the Mrs always fixes them that way... I'll be kickin back on the porch with a bottle of Keegan's Hurricane Kitty Hurricane Kitty - Keegan Ales - Kingston, NY - BeerAdvocate or maybe a Long Trail Double Bag Double Bag - Long Trail Brewing Co. - Bridgewaters Corners, VT - BeerAdvocate .. ...takin in the sun set ...and the smell of fresh grass on a soft evening breeze. ...oh yeah...

drinking the wine again. I drank so much of it last night, I poured it in a thermos and went out and started mowing with the work lights on.

Coors Banquet beer. I do like Corona also. Never tried Shiner Bock.
