Whatcha drinking?

Usually something from the Shiner family. The make a nice wheat beer that is perfect in the summer. In cooler weather, I tend to drink red wines-a nice Pinot or Merlot. I also enjoy a good Margarita or Jack and Ginger.

After a day out in the hot summer sun a long ice cold glass of Hock with Lime and Lemon. With a meal of red meat or a pizza Shiraz the king of red wines. And when I am standing at my market stall in the middle of winter trying to sell wine has to be either Chocolate or Rum Port, makes you forget the miserable weather pretty quickly.

My relaxation 'drink' of choice is bourbon and soda. There are lots of good bourbons out there and a few good sodas/sparkling waters. My summer thirst quencher is water or iced tea and occasionally a gin and tonic is nice. A beer or bourbon is for when I'm relaxing. The best beer in the world is one that somebody else just bought me.:D When I drink wine, I prefer a nice cabernet sauvignon, unchilled of course so I get the full bouquet and woody flavor. I don't drink it often because I'm the only one in the house that drinks it. If I open a bottle, it may go bad before I get to finish it because one glass is all I drink at one time. There are plenty of other wines I like as long as they aren't too sweet and fruity. If I want something sweet and fruity, I'll drink grape juice.:)

Home brewed Porter, Red Ale, Imperial Blond Ale, Cherry Ale, Blackberry Ale, Belgium Triple and one or two other's I can't remember. Today I have to bottle some Porter and Red Ale. The bottles are being sanitized in the dishwasher as I type. To save calories I only drink Friday to Sunday.:drink::laughing::laughing::laughing:

The rest of the week I drink a bit of OJ with soda water for dinner to save calories.

The Ales are pretty hefty beers so I have been drinking Yuengling when some a bit lighter is needed. Last night we brought home pizza which was perfect with the Yuengling. A local place has spend four months moving their business to a new location. They have done an excellent job transforming the new building and changing the menu. We had three pizzas and they were THE BEST pizzas we have ever had including a simple cheese pizza. We sure have missed that place and so has everyone else. The wifey heard another customer ask when they could be seated and the staff said 8:00pm. It was 6:00pm! Even on Thursday the parking lot was packed. The old business in that location never was that busy. We have left over pizza for dinner tonight! :licking::licking::licking: :drink::drink::drink:

Later,
Dan

Michelob Ultra is my choice in beer; but I do like a Bacardi and Coke from time to time.

Jeremiah weed sweet tea vodka mixed with Lipton green tea on ice. Or just a good old bud with olives in the summer. For winter worm ups its got to be coffee and Irish cream( only one or two or your up all night).

Nothing better than a tall cold glass of V-8 juice with 15 drops of tobasco and 10 drops of worcestershire sauce stired in. Must burn you lips going down! Vodka optional.

Uhhh, odd man out with ice tea. Maybe some red wine with supper now and then. Also maybe some Rolling Rock if it's summer and real hot.

What is Coors Banquet mentioned earlier? I could slide the ice tea over for that.

Wow! I have heard that wine can be left over long enough to go bad, but personally, I've never had any leftover wine, so could never prove it! Thanks for confirming this. Next time you have leftovers, call me, I'll take care of disposal for you! :drink:
