I take it her fame has spread far and wide if you guys down in Tassie even know about her. But from what I can see on Wikipedia, she seem like a..uh... not a nice person. I don't think I am going to seek out first hand knowledge of her.

OK, I watched two Nancy Grace videos, yes she is a c... Now I have been scared for life.!

Although I had heard the name "Nancy Grace" I had no idea who this person was or what she was about until I just now looked up her bio. I can now say, I am sorry I now know about her, and would not care to meet her.

I never heard of her either. When looking her up I realized I never heard of HLN, the network she's on either. I intentionally avoid all news because of people like her. What passes for news these days disgusts me as much as the the stories.

But as far as torture goes, make sure you run one of those news banners across the bottom of the screen with non stop Viagra SPAM for the spammers to watch.

Hey all, I moved this thread as it didn't really relate to the forum it was in before. And just remember, all you need to do for the spammers is click the notification button (little triangle with exclamation point, lower left of post). Mods can take it from there...

I set up a military forum for a reunion organization I was part of. I moderated it daily and got some spam occasionally. One day I got over 200 spammed posts spread all thru the forum. It took a lot of work to go through every sub forum and delete each one.

I reluctantly had to set my new member options so that I had to approve each new member before they could post. I had to check everyday for new member requests but it eliminated the spam.

It's an option here I think but it's a little problematic in that it makes work for the admin and keeps people from signing up and using the forum right away. They have to wait for admin to approve them.

I think spammers should be allowed to be shot.

Man, this is a rough crowd. I think some of them may already be stoned.

The punishments suggested so far are not harsh enough. The offenders should be placed in a room stripped of any items that could be used to commit suicide and then forced to watch tapes of Nancy Grace continuously -- a fate worse than death.

These responses and actions against the spammers should considered 'education sessions' and performed publicly as a way to discourage other from taking up the evils of spamming.

If you run low of new idea for these education sessions, there is my son's solution to jerks: castration by rabies infected sheep.
