I would sure like to know how they test them because I have yet to see a tape measure do what it claimed.

What? They all say one inch is one inch., and a foot is 12 inches.
(unless they are metric) and then they show 39 inches.
Forget about marking for studs as they have not yet come up with metric studs, Or have they?
But all plywood is still 48 X 96 but composites seem to be 39 inches.
Tool belt can't handle 2 35 ft tape measures, my pants fall down.

Got a great money maker.
VIAGRA for tape measures!

Guaranteed to get 16 feet for every 'event'!
Call your supplier if the tape keeps its stiffness for more than a day!

FWIW...lots of (roof) sheathing plywood and alternatives are sized for spacing so they may not be exactly 48" x 96" etc...

If your roof is sheathed with plywood or OSB etc...and it creeks and pops when it warms up and cools down... The sheathing was likely not spaced properly when applied...!

I've had a Bosch GLR 225 for years and think it's fantastic for measuring interior walls for whatever reason. Also measuring outside dimensions of buildings in most cases. Sometimes its hard to see the laser dot in brighter sunlight and you always need a surface to reflect back from. You can store your measurements and do basic calculations on them. Good for measuring tall ceilings or remote surfaces, measure thru a window if needed. Accuracy is about 1/16". I would suggest this more of a measuring tool than a layout tool. On another note of best tools, Stabila Levels and PLS lasers. You just feel good using them.
