If they're not threatening you, your family or animals you might want to leave them alone. The can be very beneficial for controlling rodent populations.
Shotguns at very close range can have very tight patterns. I am an avid turkey hunter and when patterning a gun at close range for the first time several years ago I was surprised at how tight the pattern was. I killed a bird at seven steps this past season and I am sure the wad hit the bird.
Yep, if they are not in my yard where my grand kids play or close by, I leave them alone. I don't kill any non venomous snakes no matter where they are.

The problem with this load is that you may not find the carcass. If you can't find the body you never know if you hit or not. All you are left with is a smoking hole in the ground. :laughing:
