What's about the easiest truck to work on that'll tow 5 ton?

I'm getting frustrated working on modern vehicles. I'm about due for another vehicle. My 2002 F350 isn't too bad.
But are there less complex trucks that are rated to haul 5 ton?
I'm not real concerned about fuel mileage, don't drive that far usually. Want something reliable and easy to work on.
I'd like something with the complexity of my 95 M4700.

Gimme your budget?

Newer: Maybe a GM 1 ton with an 8.1L :hot:
Ford gasser is harder to work on, spit spark plugs and blow exhaust gaskets.

Older: Dodge W350 12v manual trans

This is my choice. It's not going to do much more than 50 on the road but it will haul or tow more than 5 tons. Back in 77 they didn't put much electronic under the hood. The International 392 just keeps running and running. But it could be a little big for your needs.

Look at pre-power stroke Ford IDI. It will never get there first, but it will always get there.

Ford is far harder to work on than a Chevy. They mounted the engine under the firewall. And the Chevy trucks drive better than a Ford at least from the era trucks youæ±*e wanting.

Discovered this several years ago when replacing the stock flat, cobra shaped downpipe with a new Diamond Eye on a 1997 F Super Duty 7.3.
