Re: What\'s considered new???

When my BX220 was delivered I looked at the hour meter and it read 9 hours. I quickly pointed it out to the delivery person and commented that I thought that I was getting a new tractor, not a used one. He smiled and said “sir, your not reading the meter correctly. Your tractor has 9 tenths of an hour on it”. I felt pretty stupid!

Re: What\'s considered new???

as long as the warrenty start from date of delivery, don't worry about it unless it has more tha a few hrs on it. remember that most of the hr meters are accurate @pto speeds, so iff it has 2 hrs registering on hr. meter it probably has a few more hrs on it. these tractors are started and test driven sometimes by a lot of folks. not to worry.

Re: What\'s considered new???

I demoed a used--new 7500. It had been purchased and returned for trade-in with about 20 hours on it and I put another 5 on it before I returned it for a BX. The BX had less than an hour on it. My 2410 had 5 hours I believe. Since it was shiney and the FEL had no dirt and it looked new I did not concern myself with 5 hours. I think as long as the hours are reasonable and from cumulative rides around the parking lot or the dealers dirt pile it is no big deal--it is new. A demo at someones home and they returned it with 9 hours--it is used-- so I would expect a price reduction if only a small one. J

Re: What\'s considered new???

I received my B7500 today, with .6 hours on the meter. When I last saw it, Tuesday, it had .3 hours on it. The first 18 minutes covered anything from manufacture, setup by the dealer, and installation of the loader and a high capacity alternator. The second 18 minutes covered setting up the tiller, loading it on the trailer, and unloading it at my house. New? You betcha! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Re: What\'s considered new???

Thanks very much to everyone for helping me out with my question! I demoed one at the dealer which had turf tires, but he sold it to another customer before me. He said there was one in Texas that was supposed to be delivered to me last week - no show yet! /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif It supposedly has the bar tires and the FEL is/was supposed to come at the same time. I'm getting anxious about it! I called the salesmen (since I had put 10% down two weeks ago) and told him that if I didn't have it by this friday, I'd look elsewhere for it (we have a couple of more Kubota dealers in the area). I think that will expedite things now, at least I hope it will.....three weeks worth of growth in my field and yard down here in the south will be a good test for the MMM. Again, thanks for all of your help guys /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
