the description of the book states in 50 to 70 years (I said generations ) are those time spans not the same ? look at the amount urban sprawl we have seen in just the last 20 years , Any buildable land located within 50 miles of a current city will raise in value in the next 20 years

The only people who think the government will have a total breakdown are us baby boomers the younger generation have no idea of the freedoms and relaxed atmosphere we had when we were younger and we don't want to loose it ,These kids nowadays have no experience other than what they are currently living in and have been schooled to see nothing wrong with it ! they will accept whatever is placed in front of them

I do not see the odds being high for a total breakdown but like in Europe as birth rates drop and those kids being conditioned as you point out that the loss of past freedoms are the norm then one day they will wake up in bondage to the government.

Think about all of the regulations that arose as people became geographically closer and more interdependent. Plus, more people put more stress on resources and the environment in general. There are a lot of regulations that deal with resources and the environment.

Their already in bondage to the government ! Regulate this regulate that ,peta ,water regulations ,land use regulations , intake ,output,tax this, tax that , suspend right to these activities because we don't like it ,No longer able to do what you want without 15 forms and 3 approvals and a bribe ! I'm so sick of yuppies and cubicle workers I could puke ! No one knows how to fix anything themselves and if you have to rely on everyone else to take care of you and your stuff in MY opinion your weak ! What happened to men being men ? What do I think land prices are going to do ? There going up and the more you can do (yourself ) to improve the property the more your going to make when you sell it !

Was talking with one in her forty's and she said even when she was in school the kids were more or less similar in means, etc and most all had two parents in the house.
