I just went back and saw that Shield Arcs last post on TBN was in this very thread, a day after stuckmotor started it back in Aug 2018. I did get a 'rise' going to Shield Arc's TBN profile and seeing this...

As best I remember, the discussion was about portable welders and how many thousands they cost. Shield Arc came in with a photo of a restored one, probably a Lincoln gasoline powered machine, that he said cost less than five hundred dollars. That's the post that comes into my head lately when I think of him. Unfortunately, I've been unable to relocate that picture.

Works for me... and I'm somewhat below the 45th parallel, Both Nth or Sth! :laughing:
