Looking at a Massey 180. Desiel, 3600 original hours, kept under shed so faded but little rust. Problem is needs all 4 tires. Hasn't been cranked in 5+ years. What's it worth? Prices on tractor house are all over the place.

Tires can make all the difference at sales since rubber is pricey now. Also how it's equipped , 6 or 12 speed Multi-Power trans, single or dual auxiliary hydraulics, two stage PTO clutch or fully independent hydraulic PTO, wide or narrow front end, does it run? I repair a lot of injection pumps that won't work after setting as little as 6 months due to water/rust in fuel causing internal parts to stick in place..

6 speed, no multi-power

Two stage clutch

Wide front end

Haven't tried to crank it up yet.

Not looking at any of those. Its actually a tractor in the family, just want to pay a fair price for it.

Historical sales (not asking prices) on tractorhouse show anything from 1700-3500, couple of those have loaders, and most look to have at least usable rubber on them. The one I am looking at does not, sidewalls are completely cracked open.

My head says its worth about 2500-3000 dollars, but it needs ~$2k in tires. And since it hasn't run in many years, probably a few other 100 bucks odds and end to get it usable. Am I off base?

I would be thinking lower personally - the new tires are over ½ the value, no loader, 6 speed plus the fact it is technically not running. Having it sit that long could be an issue - if you get it running easily that adds to the value but as of right now you need to price it as non running. Figure a nice running one is running $3500-4000 I would be thinking around $1500 and hope their is no major problems.
