I might sell my YMG1800D with a newer Koyker 120 loader with a turf kit from Hoye, every thing is in great shape, any idea what I should ask?

I would think in my area $8,000 give or take a thousand depending upon how exactly it looks and how bad someone wants it?

I have more Pics but they are on a older computer that I replaced as it was slow, I will have to take more now.
I have the original tires, rears are about 80-90%, but the front's are dry rotted and need to be replaced so I bought the turf tire kit from hoye's ($1600 alone)

yea but its like classic cars or cars in general. Work and money into something dont make it worth the exact dollar amount more.

If i were to buy it i would not pay any more for turf tires, i dont want them or need them so i dont value them. someone would need to value them to make it worth more.

look at it this way. if you have a $10k truck that needs some minor engine work. You sink $2500 into it to have a few things fixed so it runs back like it should, that does not make your truck worth $12k just means you restored the value back to what the model should bring, someone may put a value on the repairs you did a little.
I am just making a point, i dont care what you sell it for, and its hard to say, if someone wants something they will pay for it!! i know i have!

Yea that tractor looks great but i dont think you could get any more than $9k and that would be a hard sell!!! i think $8-8500 is a more realalistic price. Its still an 18hp pto tractor about 22 engine.

Any higher than what i have said you start to get into the price range of more modern and more "mainstream" brands that more people recognize like kubota, and JD, massey and even way newer manihandas. Not that yanmar is not a huge global international equiptment manufacturer. I know that and you do and many tractor guys do, but many turnkey hobby farmers still dont.

I think I will start at $8000 with choice of either tires and see where that goes. I need to upgrade to a CUT around 35-40hp I think.

Start at what ever you want, hate to see you sell it to cheap. Areas are very different. IN california they supposedly go for more then they do here in the south where there seem to be 10s of thousands of them.

What is the trade in value on a new tractor?

I haven't tried to trade yet, there are a few used 2010-2011 tractors that are private sale that I was thinking about. Otherwise thinking of a Kioti 35hp or a LS in 33-40hp

dont trade it , they will give you like $3-4500 i bet!!! used and trades is where all kinds of dealers make money.

Fredricks right now is offering a YM1800D 4x4 with a newer Koyker 120 loader and new R1 tires for $9,494. It's completely restored to new condition. Yanmar Ymg1800d, 4x4, Loader, 22hp, Decatur AL - 112747620 - EquipmentTraderOnline.com

Personally, turf tires would do nothing for my tractor use. Actually maybe even worse for the tasks I need the tractor for. I would get stuck too often with turf tires. The YM1800D is similar to the JohnDeere-650 2-cly Yanmar. It has power for the FEL, but it's slow going overall getting tasks done. I've seen these in action.

Here's the Fredricks model all restored.

If you have some good hours already clocked that would lower the value some. If the tractor was well kept and shed/barn kept, that would hold or give a slight price advantage. Remember, you are offering a tractor that was made in the early '80s as a CUT. The LS you are seeking is about $30K give or take $5K new. LG does make a good machine. If I had to do it again, it would be a hard toss up of a an LS-3038 vs. a Yanmar YM3110D 4x4 restored by Fredricks. Both are equal machines overall. Fredricks has a 1-year warranty. I think the LS is 3-years. The cost for the Yanmar is 1/2 that of the LS. Both has the PowerShift or Sync-Shuttle shifting (automatic like).

Yanmar YM3110D 4x4 w/FEL$12,294 Yanmar Ym3110d, 4x4, 140 Koyker Loader, 37hp, Decatur AL - 106604732 - EquipmentTraderOnline.com

LG LS-3038 about $32,000 G3038 « LS Tractor USA

A co-worker got an LS the year before I got my YM2610. He nearly flipped out when I told him my CUT restored better than factory was under $5,900. If I would have added the FEL, the price would have been $9,300. I could have nearly bought TWO Yanmars for the price of his LG LS-3038.

Thats my point, nice is only relative to what you can get a redone one with a warrenty from frederics for.

I would not pay too much for a used one, but $1500 + delivery + sales tax is a good chunck of change to save on a machine that has been proven but not beat.
