let's start an auction.i'll pay 2.00 for it but you have to bring it to pennsylvania .no really you should ask what you paid for it and work down from there.how much was the price increase from when you bought it,some one can pay a few bucks less than you did and get a good deal.

Ok, $4.00. Seriously, I saw a Big Tex 30' + 5 Tandem on the side of the road in Argo the other day with a big sign that said $5,000.00. You could tell it was used, but it didn't have any significant damage. Tires were about 50%. The floor looked pretty good.

Check out Equipment Trader Magazine Online - Buy or Sell New and Used Heavy Equipment You can get some ideas of used prices there. I just did a seach there and found a New Gator Made 20+5 Dual Tandem listed for $7195.00.

I'd stick with the $7K price range, my findings are that trailers really don't depreciate like cars and trucks do.

I figured they held there value well. A friend bought a GN at an auction that was 4 yrs. old for $6000.

Thought I would bring this thread back up rather than start a new one.

Looking at an 05' BriMar 20k 20' dump. The tires have good tread depth but are chewed up some perhaps from rough terrain. Dump body has some dings in the floor and a little sagging between the frame rails. Certainly not ready for a new floor yet. Tailgate latch is broken so a chain and binder is being used to hold the doors closed. Drivers side panel has a dent in the top from some loader bucket or something. Paint looks fair overall.

Scale of 10, I would give the dump a 5 tops, the frame and axles 8 or 9.

The owner is asking 9.5k. I offerred 7.5 tops, owner asked for 8 but I declined.

What do you think? The trailer has been sitting for awhile.

I just bought a 20K tandem dual gooseneck. 25+5, with a pretty rough deck and 50% tires. All there, not bent up. Came with a 8K electric winch on the neck. I paid 3K. It really depends on location and timing. The economy is depressed around here, so maybe that is part of it.
