Guys thanks for the responses- I do have a loan but am about to pay it off- The tractor is great but to small for my property- I was thinking on trade it would be worth around $10K- Does that seem right?? just want an idea before I go shopping-- thks
Bebop, I didn't notice you mention a couple of things that would make a big difference:
1. Did you go your Yanmar from local dealer and was the experience with that dealt a good one ?
2. Do you have a size and brand you are interested in?
3. Would you be considering units your current dealer might carry?
The reason for these questions is that despite many responses you are getting, you seem like you really want an way way to make this happen ether than a personal selling effort. I get that. Some people don't like selling and some are OK with it. But those that are OK with selling idon't understand that. And I'm guessing from your couple of posts that you just want to trade-in if possible and get different.
Under that concept, I would think your best trade-in opportunity is it hot your original dealer "if evrythingwent smoothly" before. Second choice would be another yanmar dealer and third choice is another very very LOCAL dealer who could use your trade in as an example why his products are better appreciated (yes that is a selling technique smart business owners use).
But my point is, just because some TBN posted say you should sell it outright. . . does not mean that is a logical and comfortable choice for you. 21 hours in 2 years means someone will get a near new unit. . . it it also means for 2 years you haven't been able to accomplish very much.
Quick final question. Had you had a different unit. . . would you have used that one in 2 years a great deal (like 75 or 100 hours more than the 21) or just a little more?
