What's Next for California?

Well - you see - I don't have to care there. My only "child" is now 49 and can think on his own. My grand daughter is a hard working surgical nurse. My two great granddaughters - they are being brought up by two very hard working, well educated parents.

However - lets go another step. Who is on the top of my list of those I take pleasure in offending -

1) those who think it is their God given right to be on the welfare dole and have never worked a day in their worthless lives

2) those who think I should be politically correct - these are the ones I REALLY take pleasure in offending

You think you are going to change my attitude. My attitude has been developed, nurtured and come to full bloom in my 77 years of life. Far better have tried and failed.

However - if you are so inclined - give it a shot.

I think you may be mistaken as to how much influence society has over even those that think they are "thinking for themselves".

The scariest part is that mainstream media has become the mouth piece, all in lock step, for this insanity, rather than speaking out against it. That is a powerful influence.

The issue is always, who is going to be the first to storm the palace? And THEY know that.

IT - I VERY STRONGLY AGREE with your statements. One of the major problems with - "storming the palace". You MAY storm the palace, breach the wall and finally gain access to the inner castle. Because of mainstream media you will never be POTUS. I feel our days are numbered...........

I mean, really, what hard working, well educated, politically active individual wants the word "POTUS" hanging on his resume - like a dead Albatros.

But I'm sure you weren't going over 70 MPH, right? :)

I'm all in favor of helmets. It saved the life of so many people over here. But of course, over a certain speed, it won't make much difference.

Friend of mine and long time motorcycle racer is living proof that with the right gear you can get separated from a bike at 90 plus mph and walk away. He always wears the same gear on the street as on the track, always. Other than that he's a complete speed demon on either bike or car!

As a cold war/Cuba/Vietnam intelligence gathering (spy?) pilot, I can unequivocally state that I would never volunteer to do it again!
Much too dangerous,.... and this country just ain't worth it!

Sounds like he is also a very lucky gentleman; there are always exceptions. My brother, a fireman, was a first responder on a lot of motorcycle accidents; I recall one instance where he described a rider who hit the asphalt face first after a high speed dismount. The helmet was not particularly effective in this case.

Thanks for the good wishes and congratulations on your escape. Thanks also to Bigbarn for his good wishes. These kind of things are just part of life and we need to adapt to them as best we can. I truly hope your rehab goes well and you recover with minimal lingering effects .From following your problems on the forum it's obvious that you are a strong individual with a good attitude and great family support. My best wishes for your return to good health.

I have seen riders come off on the track at over 200kph and walk away, however you look at the kevlar reinforced outfits they wear it certainly helps and nothing to hit during the big slide.

Reminds me of when I lived in India. I was reading the newspaper one day and the headline announced that the government was claiming a massive decrease in the poverty rate, something to the tune of a 90 percent drop. Well, I read the article and the gov had simply changed their definition of poverty! Poverty was now defined as the amount of money required to purchase enough calories to not die. So pennies a day basically. No consideration for clothing, shelter, medical care, etc.

Not just in India. The Consumer Price Index is based on a number of goods that are typically purchased and that list is changed by the government so the CPI will reflect what they want it to. (The social security increases are based on the CPI).

What is next for Kalifornia... In a nutshell, Kalifornians are moving out to places like Washington State, Colorado and Idaho, New Mexico and ruining those state too.

Once all the libs leave Rornia, maybe it will be safe for Conservatives to go back......
