Thanks for the info. I think I will have our tank and piping leak-checked. The boiler needs going over too I suppose. Never missed a beat or been looked at since installed 3 yrs. ago.

That is a welcome change over an oil burner! Had one of those that was lucky to run a year without some sort of issue. It was always something, the filter, the ignition points, the injector pump, blah blah blah. All cost money too.

Yup a yooper is UP resident (UPer). Actually I think you have to be born in the UP to be an official yooper. Someone that moves to the UP is a transplant so I'll actually be a transplant. I am currently a troll. Anyone who lives in the LP is a troll ... because they live below the bridge. Thanks for the well wishes. Unfortunately the plan to move to the UP is on hold because the economy in Michigan is so bad we can't sell our house.

Hang in there, the house market has to come back to life someday.

Here in Maine, to be a 'Mainer' means you were born here. To be a 'Maine-iac' means you left Maine and then moved back. To have any opinion listened to in a Town Hall meeting - I think you need grandparents in the local cemetary!

I grew up in Millbury (off east side of Toledo) and Bowling Green, Ohio. So I don't count here in Maine, can't even talk right

I know times are tough everywhere, but seems like Detroit-Toledo area just keeps going down. From what my Mom tells me, half the Malls I can remember around Toledo are closed.
