I have 7 kids with the oldest being 32 and the youngest is my 10 year old son Wesley. Some of you may have seen pictures of him helping me when I built my hydraulic box blade or seen him on our website. Anyway, I have received very nice expensive and elogant gifts from each of them over the years. But my favorites were always the things they made at school for me. I still have many of them from when they were little.

Last year for Father's Day, when Wes was only 9, he asked his Mom to take him to a store where he saw something the week before that he wanted to get for me....special for me from him.

It nearly caused me to start crying...I almost lost it when I saw it.
It made me realize how much he loves me and how much I love him and how insignificant everything else is.

It's called "A father and son"

It is a carving of a father kneeling down next to his boy. They their arms on each other....like when sharing a precious moment together alone.

Here is another view. I hope you can see it better but I think the first one shows it better. It blew my mind that he thinks deeply enough to grasp the importance of this statue and what it represents.

I missed the fact that there was an attachment. you yeah I can see how that fathers Day gift will always be special for you.

My brother in law is 50 and has tow young sons in addition to his older children. His youngest is 18 months old and he does love those boys. Tragically his first wife died at 38, he was not a man who could be happy without a wife so he married a younger gal and they have two beautiful boys together. Those boys are sure keeping my brother in law young.

Nice statue you can sure feel the love it invokes.
