It's hard to beat a Maglite. I still have several models from 35 years ago, but they don't get used much since they are old school tech. I also have some Maglite LED models that are maybe 5 - 10 years old? They are 10 times better than the originals as far as light quality, lumens, pattern, distance, etc. But now Maglite has much more advanced LED options which are, in my opinion, 10 times better yet.
