whats the cheapest new TLB on the market

Well I did a search on just that cheapest backhoes to see what would come up in forums, but could really find any prices. The topic came up because I'm buying a 410d turbo for 15k from a cemetery , and my old man was telling me just that. There's good machines out there that are a great bang for the buck although I'm sure not for 15k, but it 15 would be a good down payment

To really give you a concrete answer on value, you need to specify 2wd/4wd and the year model. If it's an early to mid-90s model with 2wd, your price is okay, but not spectacular. Also, cabbed vs. non-cabbed and extenda-hoe models have a big effect on prices.

I'm sure you are looking for construction grade equipment and not an ag tractor with a backhoe. There are all levels of TLBs on the market, so when you ask a question, you really need to specify what you mean, otherwise somebody might suggest Terramite or a BX model Kubota with a backhoe.

I have a mid 80's 190 series III- 2wd machine and it is a real beast. Not small, not quick, but very strong and capable.

Going price for one in running order seems to be about half of what you're looking to spend on that Deere. Parts are very easy to come by in my experience (engine is a Detroit 3-53, lots of them out there, tranny is a borg warner that was used in many trucks, etc...). Seals are standard (I've had a few cylinders repacked). Dynahoe is now part of Terex I believe.

My dad operated a few over the years and I almost bought one before I bought my Deere.

The one I looked at was a 200-4 (?) 4wd and was about 15 tons, late 1970's. The hoe worked fine, the loader was huge. The problem was I would be roading it some and going at top speed I could start it down the driveway. Climb out have lunch walk up to it and still catch it before it got to the road.

Later models were faster, but this things top speed was 4-5 mph. Had it not been for that I would have liked it.

The last few years they were made they changed to a Deere engine and a different trans that was faster.

I still wouldn't mind one if I could find one of the "faster" ones. It's like having a wheel dozer/loader/excavator all in one.

The deal with this deere never came through id call them and i kept getting the run around i guess they think im not serious or maybe they arent in a real need to sell idk i cant say for sure but i can tell you that 410d aint coming home with me ill keep looking around but to be honest im looking at these terex back hoes more and more. @ crashz ive thought about having the ex and another machine to supplement but the back hoe in general can dig good enough but can move more material Faster than any skid loader and since im the only operator its better for me to have just one machine to move and load than to have two although no argument here an excavator will out dig most back hoes when your just one person there nothing like spinning the seat and finishing the job you know
