In 36+ years - only been on the road one time. Took the Kubota in to Cheney - 12 miles - weighed it on the big grain scales at Archer Daniels Midland. Otherwise - I have no reason to ever be on any road other than my driveway.

Depends on the area where you live. Around here in northern, IL there are more tractors and combines on the rural roads than cars. 99% of the people around here are country folk and they accept that tractors are part of driving in this area. Closer to town or major roads there is always someone trying to push a tractor with their car and that gets messy.

I have driven larger farm tractors up to 15 miles going from one farm to the next with trouble. That can all change in instant because some idiot is more concerned about his cellphone that he about paying attention to where he is going.

If you have a large enough trailer and prefer to trailer that is a viable option.

Not that I would feel uncomfortable driving a tractor that distance, but if I had the means I would haul it. I would not like the extra wear and tear on the tractor tires nor the constant vibration being inflicted on the tractor components while driving long distance at a reasonable speed while on a hard top road.

I have one job I drive to that's about 10 miles away, that I drive to, to rotary cut and rotavate... It's no big deal here...

Lots of tractors on the roads around here, pulling all kinds of things, right now they are starting to move apple boxes down the road.

I drive the back roads and it's no big deal, but I do charge for my travel time...

BTW, DO NOT drive half way on the road and half off!! That's an excellent way to cause an accident with an idiot in a car!! Put an SMV sign on the back of your load, and drive on the road!!

I roaded my old Case 580 backhoe several times(no cab)40-60 miles round trip. No fun at all. Won't leave the yard now.

I used to do that until I decided if bicycles can use the road so can I.

I stopped trailering my B7610 to and from my sons residence, 4 miles, a few years ago. We swap it for several months at a time. This is in dense suburbs with 35 mph speed limits. Try to do it on early Sunday mornings with very little traffic.

there won't be a load, just the bush hog on back. tractor has a SMV sign on it, and IF I was going to drive it on the road the flashers would be on as well. I've decided I'm just going to trailer it though. it's not that big a deal to load up

I didn't buy a trailer on purpose because I don't want to be tempted to leave the property or hire out for anything. Also, a stipulation for my insurance states that it will not leave the property.
