What's the gunk in my fuel can?

2 of mine I'll never know if it had that in the bottom. As the wife needs to refuel from time to time, I shot 2 , 2 gallon gas cans yellow for the diesel use. I use the silver bottle that everybody here seems to use. Maybe I best add a biocide. Thanks for the heads up.
