I think Muhammad may have been trying to block wording associated with another tractor forum and it did not work as well as hoped.

I belong to a site that is blocked on here and other than that issue itself I have no issues with either site. Just sayin!
But...To ask the obvious, how can the word "tractor" be entered into the blocked list on a tractor forum by mistake without the full intentions of doing something behind the scenes. The way I see it the word tractor was not the mistake but rather the expected or perceived outcome was.

Come on guys... nothing nefarious here, not even remotely so. No hacking, no cloak and dagger behind the scenes manipulation.

There is a filter that changes any word found to match a word in an associated filter file to the equivalent of a censor's beep like on TV. This is how the owner of this site maintains some semblance of "family friendliness."

It is a good thing without which a few bad actors could reduce this pleasant experience to a twisted ugly anarchist's playground. (see also Does anyone still believe...)

I personally thank Muhammad for upholding high standards. I also chuckle a bit at the irony of the particular word that inadvertently got dropped in the "bad words" file. Imagine a Bible with God replaced by ***

It has been years since I toyed with stuff behind the curtain. If I recall correctly (problematic at best) printing chr(7) to the screen is still the carriage bell and by substituting chr(7) in place of the "*" in "bad words" you'd get beeps like on tv.
