Found this listing on ebay, and while I don't promote buying tractors online I do like to see what they are going for just as a gauge of what I might get for mine if I tried to sell it.

Now, at the time I'm posting this.. we're talking a 38 horse Grand L with less than 200 hours on the clock.. the better 723 loader.. subframe mount backhoe (BH 90).. remotes.. blah blah.. Nice machine.. and with the opening big only 20 grand I would think someone would have bid on this.. but.. like I said.. at the time I'm writing this .. nada.. zilch.. no bids?

I realize that ebay has had it's problem with bogus low priced listings (although this one LOOKS legit).. could that be it? Or, is such a machine overpriced at 20 grand?

egad.. I could figure this if it had a thousand hours on it.. but this really surprised me.

I expect there are a number of bidders hoping to come in at the last minute. It probably has a number of watchers as it has had quite a few views.

They are all probably waiting till the last minute in the hope that no one else will bid on it.

It's probably alegit auction. One of the indicators is if you look at the members profile, there is no recent activity. Also the scammers, once they steal an Ebay account, they will offe an item low and ask bidders to contact them at a different email, usually gmail, hotmail stuff like that.
Nice machine, good deal

If it's close to you and you have a way of hauling it you can just give a small deposit and pay for it when you show up. He looks like a dealer since he's charging tax and his shipping charges look legit. Of course if it is a dealer why is he having a hard time selling this? He might also end the auction early if people don't bid on it.

Jibber, If your hesitant to bid becuase you think the price is TOO LOW.. let me know at what price you feel comfortable at. I'll bid it up to that price. If that will make you feel better!!
I underatand your situation. You don't want your neighbors to think you have a cheap $21k tractor. When you could have a $26k tractor. Also if you paid more for it, you would probably take better care of of it!!!
Let me know if I could help! Frank

I've had my eye out to see if I can pick up a Grand L 3x30 in the USA. This looked like a good deal to me but was lacking HST which is a must for me.

Why not? I bgt my tractor online and 2 trucks. Didn't pay a dime til I got there and inspected them though...which is normal. If you know the prices of what you are looking for and you see a good deal, don't pass on an online deal...mine have been GREAT so far.

Got a Kioti DK55 with 1595 FEL for 16,500. It had 360 hrs, the rear tires filled and a 3rd function remote up front. I didn't see any anywhere less that 23,000. This guy had a post on Craigslist that just said Tractor. I called and he didn't even have a price yet...said he needed to call the bank and see what he owed on it and that's what he would take:D So I called him the next day and he gave me the price, I went up and got it 2 days later. I offered to send him $100 to hold it but he said no, that I sounded like an honest person. He said he paid 26,000 and about $1,000 for the 2rd function remote. So, he was willing to take a more than 10,000 hit on 1st year depreciation. And I had the warrenty (2 1/2 years left) transfered to me.

Don't be afraid of a deal because it's too good of a deal. I went prepared to say no to this deal if it was a piece of junk but was pleasantly surprised. I still think it was too good of a deal...but I'm alright with that.

But it didn't come without some risk. I had to risk paying the guy to take me there and get it. If it was junk...or some crazy crap (and I've been through some crazy crap...re the Montana 4540 that I thought I was buying) I still would have paid the guy for the trip;)

But I'm still smiling.:D

I was very close to paying 3k more for a DK40se...then I saw this on Craigslist.

Hmm well the tractors got less than an hour left on it now and still no bids. I wonder if anyones going to come in at the last minute?

And it ended without a bid. Email him and offer 18,800...never hurts to try.

My step-father has been looking for a tractor and only lives 15 miles from Louisburg, KS., where the tractor is located. I'll pass on the phone number to him - maybe he can work out a deal.

Just seemed like a great deal to me. No, I'm not personally interested. Aside from the remotes and 7 more horsepower I've got the same thing here. But I sure wish I had got it for that price!! And while I say I don't "PROMOTE" buying online.. I do it all the time myself. If I had been in the market for a tractor.. I would have bid on that one.. 21 grand for what essentially is a new tractor with backhoe was a pretty good deal.

makes me wonder what I could get for mine.

good thing I'm not selling.

I'll probably die with that tractor. It does everything I need and then some.

well, I could occasionally use about a hundred more horsepower. and a bigger bucket.

Accordianman, In his ad in red lettering the dealer stated the fluids under the tractor where from him just washing it and not oil/hyd. fluids.

I am closing this thread. It would have been deleted except that it has been up almost a week and I just became aware of it.

There are many problems with eBay auctions involving fraud, especially on high priced items. Yes, many may be honest sales, but we have no way to verify if an eBay listing is honest or not.

We also do not allow advertising unless a person contacts Muhammad and makes formal arrangements to do so on TBN. Posting of links on TBN would quickly become a way to promote product sales on eBay, which of course is not our function.

So, you can talk about items and prices on eBay (if you must), but please, no links, and no specific info for people to link over there to specific items being sold.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
