Thistle has got to be #1. Nasty stuff, and the only good way to control it is one plant at a time. I've had to turn my neighbor into the Department of Agriculture for the last 2 years because he refuses to control the thistle on his property. Of course, his lack of effort becomes my problem when the millions of seeds blow into my pastures! I'm hoping the Ag Dept lays a major $fine$ on the guy this year.
Although I don't have many, there are some really awful thorn trees. I don't know if these are honey locust or something else. I do know they will flatten a tire quite easily, and cutting them down means combing the grass for fallen thorns. Again, this looks like a very manual process to get rid of these things.
