I have a Sears (thats all the tag says, not sears robuck, not craftsman) walk behind tractor. It has spiked metal wheels, its chain drive, and I have a cultivator, single ground plow, and snow plow that goes with it. I don't know anything about these, I currently repositioned it as a decorative item in a flower bed. I tried doing some research on the net and didn't find much except for a guy asking $500 for one with just a cultivator. I've got no idea about the running condition of this, but the one for sale didn't run either. So, are these things worth any real money? Can anyone point me in the right direction for info? It does seem like a fun restoration project, but who has the time? Besides I don't want to try anything if there isn't a readily accessible knowledge base out there, like these forums.

Could be a David Bradley ? You might want to check out Yahoo groups about it, there is a forum for David Bradleys. If it is runnable it is probably worth the money with the attachments.
The steel wheeled ones are worth more than the rubber tired ones to collectors.

Sears purchased David Bradley in 1910, and sold it to Roper in 1966. David Bradley built units such as this for Sears. Roper later built the Sears and Craftsman lawn & garden tractors. Roper was bought out by what is now Electrolux, which still build the Craftsman L&G tractors.

David Bradley also produced haying equipment and other large agricultural tools. I happen to have two DB hay rakes, one in excellent condition and one in need of some TLC. My one hay wagon is on DB running gear.

There is a DB website. Just do a google search and you will find it.

David Bradley or David Brown ? I did not know that David Bradley made full size implements and such. Well learn something every day.

Yep, they did make full-size ag equipment. I wish I had a decent digital camera and I would take a picture of my rake and running gear on my hay wagon. They made full-size ag equipment from 1832 thru 1953.

There seems to be alot of this equipment in my area. Probably because it was economy priced.
