Wheel Loader Fire

/ Wheel Loader Fire #21
It could have been the hydraulic oil been atomized starting the fire on a heated part.

There are hydraulic accumulators on some equipment that could burst when heated but they should have some sort of relief assy.

I have seen car tires and shocks and impact (bumper) shocks explode on some of the fire call's I have been on too.

Just the heat from the fire could have set the chemical reaction like welding on the rim

If my memory is correct it is pyrolysis

the last big tractor fire we had was last spring. First real use after sitting in the barn all winter. Bird had built a nest in the engine compartment and it caught fire off the turbo exhaust after it had been running for about an hr.

needed the tender with external foam kit to put it out due to the massive amount of rubber tire on fire.
