Wheel spacers on a JD 4310.......Anyone?

I had these factory four inch spacers put on before I took delivery of the tractor. It took months to ship it from India and then more time to get the right number of bolts for the dealer to assemble it. The loaded tires are set all the way out to position H but if I needed to do a lot of land plowing I would set them in enough to get front and rear in line so both would run in the dead furrow. You will like the extra stability.

Well they finally showed up. Did I mention that on March 4th I was told that I would have them in a 7 to 10 days?............ and that they would be anodized black.

I'm a little miffed, especially after the conversation that I had with motorsport tech to politely (yes politely) tell them about the tardiness and lack of anodizing. Basically I was told that I should not worry about the anodizing because these were "just going on a tractor" and that they were really "only three weeks late" if you calculate how long it would have taken to ship them.

I could go on but I'm trying to get over it. Anyway I'm hoping that these fit and I'll post some pics after I get them painted and start putting them on.

Any suggestions on how to get the machine oil off of these so the paint will stick. I plan on putting these on once and being done.

Thanks

Ok I can finally finish this and post some pics of the before and after.

Long story short, I painted the spacers a couple days after I got them and went to put them on. I opened up the bag of lug bolts that motorsport tech supplied and found that they had shorted me two of them. Luckily I had not yet taken the wheels off my tractor before I found this out.
I sent them an email and they graciously (sarcasm) sent them to me a month later. I got them yesterday and didn't waste any time putting them on.

Anyway here's some pics (hope this works)
This is the before:

This is after:

and this is the spacer on the hub:

I mowed for a couple hours with them on today and my wheels didn't fall off, so that's a plus. I don't have any hills to speak of at my place but it did seem to add a bit of stability when mowing out by the road.

Well I knew I'd screw something up. the pic of the spacer on the hub is on the bottom but you get the idea.

Nice job. Too bad you had a miserable experience with the manufacturer, but it looks like you are now ready to tackle any terrain with greater tractor stability and near zero pucker factor.

I had a great experience with Motorsports on the spacers. Sorry to hear yours wasn't up to your specs.
I put 2" on my 4300 and find working on side hills in my woods is a completely comfortable experience for good stability.
