Wheel spacing

   / Wheel spacing #11
I've always had that 'bout to tip over feeling on my little Kubota L3400. Back in the day... :) when I had my old Fordson-Dexta I never gave tipping over a second thought. Why, I don't know. The F/D seat was a LOT higher than the 'Bota. And the old 1960 Forston-Dexta didn't even HAVE a seat belt nor roll-over-bar!

What I've done is to fill both rear tires and add 2" spacers to each side. That did help with the confidence. Don't really know if it actually helped all that much, but at least I don't think about tipping as much. Book says 10 degrees side slope and 25 degrees front slope is max. I have had the courage to try anything that radical - yet.

First thing I'd suggest you do is to fill the back tires. You need the front to track with the rears, but filling the tires will definitely be an improvement.

Note widening front track won't help with tip until axle hits the stops. Rears determine your stance.
