I have a new ZG23 that I absolutely love, but I do have one complaint, a loss of traction when mowing the hills on my property. Does anyone have any experience with this situation, what did you do to correct it. I changed the tires, went with a bar style tractor tire ,it did help as long as I go up the hills and not down. It did come at a cost though, they tear the turf quite a bit when making turns, even if I'm very careful. I thought about going back to the original tires and adding wheel weights, but so far I haven't been able to locate weights to fit the factory wheels, and I'm not sure that I would get the same level of traction with the turf tires. I'm affraid that they would only spin going up or slide coming down . I would appreciate any help and advice I can get. I will add this in case anyone was wondering, with the bar tires it does go up the hills like a mountain goat, but it can tear the ground if you're not careful.

This is just the reality of any zero turn mower. There is not much you can do. The ZG's are already much heavier than a typical ZTR. Weights won't hurt, but there is no majic bullet for your problem.
