Randy our tractor is used for many things mowing being just one of them. There are certain times of the year predominately spring and fall where if I don't take the rear weights off, the yard would quickly be destroyed and that's one of the beauties of removable weight.
If you have a friend that has the ability to weld a simple bracket can be fabricated to hold standard weight plates to your rear wheels and could also very easily be removed. Weight plates are available used and normally very reasonably priced, check your classified section of the newspaper for someone close to save shipping costs. Another option is to check eBay, but do an advanced search and use a value of say 100 miles of your home. That way you can again pick them up and save big shipping charges.
