When built \"Ford Tough\" is not enough

What was that, did you feel something under the tire?

Doubt they felt anything... The people running around had to be their clue... /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Here's one I was given. I think it was a land cruiser...

Wow - that gives me an off the scale "pucker factor". You gotta hope nobody was in there at the time it happened. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Then again, if that white land cruiser is a photo from Iraq, you have to remember that when we went in there, all of ******'s loonies were running around in white cruisers and white pick ups. Apparently that was the color he provided his un-official troops. Again not sure of the origin of that 2nd picture, but it might be a casulalty of war, and it might be that way for a good reason.

Most likely it is from a mine site in Australia, this it the most used vechilce in the mine fields. The rotating ambers are corect for that area as well.

I would estimate that 90% of mine owned vehicles are landcrusers just like this.

Now THAT gives new meaning to the term "roadside pancake"! /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

The photo I am attaching is a school bus that got ran over buy a Titan dump truck. The bus was used to take workers into the strip pit. There was no one in it when it got squished.

Re: When built \"Ford Tough\" is not enough

Rat; A while back we had a Cat 675 scraper run over a 3/4 ton Dodge pickemup. Luckily no one even got scratched, but the cab in the PU sure did smell bad!! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
I may have the model number wrong, but I do know the scraper was the biggest Cat made, one of those with the tandem engines and REAL big!

657 most likely... The 666 was bigger but they haven't made those in a long while...

Re: When built \"Ford Tough\" is not enough

I believe your correct. I had another that I can't find at the moment of yet another land cruiser under a Komatsu truck.

Seems the story of the missing photo was a mine supervisor took the new LC down and violated the safety zone around the truck (75 ft as a guess) and the driver couldn't see it. Super Squishy.... No one was hurt...

Re: When built \"Ford Tough\" is not enough

Scott; Your most likely correct. We still have 4 or 5 of them around, I'll take a look tommorow if I get the chance. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
