I change mine by the manual but I think it varies from model to model, depending on the engine size and amount of oil in the system. I know my B2400 is every 100 Hours and the L4740 is every 200 hours. The M5700 at the farm is every 300 hours. In all cases and for my particular usage, it means that the oil and filter get changes at least once a year.
If it makes you feel happier changing the oil every 100 hours, irrespective of what the manual says, then go for it. It's all about buying peace of mind and the additional cost isn't that much.
My b2400 manual says to change the oil every 100 hrs and oil and filter every 200 hrs. I put about 100 hours a year on it and change oil @ 50 hrs and oil and filter @ 100 hrs. I use Rotella or Mobil 15-40 dino. I don't want to go as long as recommended for syn so I use dino and change more frequently. Don't find it an economic burden to change oil twice annually and filter once annually.
I change at the interval recommended in the Owner's Manual, or annually, whichever comes first. In fact, all of my manuals list a usage interval and a time interval, i.e. "every 300 hrs or 1 yr, whichever comes first."
hey buddy on my 4105 deere they recomend to change your oil at 200 hrs. when new then a good friend and very good hobby farmer changes his oil on both tractors every fall depending on how much use your tractor gets in a yr. if doing some serious haying you need to change more often

some ag tractors are pushing the hrs up tp 300 now..I just change all the motor oil at 150hrs which generally is 2-3 times a year.. rear end oil at 1000hrs and hyd oil maybe a few of times in a machines lifetime unless there are visible problems or a repair requires draining...all filters other than engine at 1000hrs..
