When does it start to warm up were you live?

Yesterday was the warmest it had been since last December. 25F last week the temps were in the low -30'sF. So I guess the weather is warming up.

I live in northeastern North Dakota, about 35 miles south of the Canadian border. Our ponds freeze up in early October and the snow we get over the winter doesn't begin to melt until around mid-April. Temps in the 50s don't usually occur until mid-May. We plant our gardens around Memorial Day, as that is usually considered to be the last chance for a killing frost, though we've had frost well into June. Our first killing frost happens again in mid-September.

Only 34F today here. Not quite spring weather yet. The snow we got is now melting though.

Looks like we're gonna get a warm up starting March 6th. A high of 55F. Makes me so happy. I've had enough of the freezing weather.

Forecast looks even better for the 11th. A high of 66F.

We did have one 80F day this winter. I think it was towards the end of January. The weather was teasing us. Making us believe that spring was coming sooner. lol

It could have stayed 80s I wouldn't have cared.

Should be raining in our neck of the woods daily.....it isn't. Still more rain than most but not enough. Been having 50 to 60 degrees this winter.....should be 40's to low 50's. Me and a buddy went quad riding yesterday in light sweat shirts. Flowers and trees are blooming. Been kayaking all winter without a wetsuit......summer should be interesting.

jerrybob, Interesting you are dry too. Apart from 30mm (a bit over an inch) on 16 & 18 Jan we have only had light drizzles. The 3 winter months of Dec-Jan, our wet season, totalled only 75mm. All drupes opening up flowers yesterday, two weeks later than last year, which was our warmest since coming here in 2003.

Daily high temperature is largely irrelevant. We consider it "warmed up" once the last of the ice melts off the lakes and ponds, usually late April/early May.

45F today. But tomorrow it's supposed to snow at least an inch with a high of 28F.

I hope the snow doesn't last long as I need to pull the engine from my truck and replace it with another one I have.

The engine in my truck is going out on me. I think it's fixing to throw a rod. So I haven't started it anymore to prevent further damage.

Hoping to get the engine swapped out this week as I need my truck.
