We even had a blender that has a clock in it, think it is made in China! Lately we have been hit with this cold weather out of Canada and the winds have been extremely high and very cold. Today it was 5 below and winds were constant at around 15 mph and gusting to over 30 mph.
One thing is for sure we have been getting our practice in setting the time. The power went off 4 or 5 times this morning, for only about 30 seconds but long enough to set all of the clocks blinking. The bottom line is I am ready for setting the clocks ahead on Sunday!
So you retired from the Dallas Police Department, 18 years ago! Well that must put you close to 55. Any brother that puts in enough years to retire from the department desires a nice clock and rocking chair!
As for the car clock I sort-of liked the analog clocks and we more or less worked on the quarter of an hours instead of by single minutes that most people use today. You know, it's 8:52 PM, Now I figure hat is 10 to 9!
Today I had to take my Chevy in for service and they replaced the radio receiver. It came with XM radio and in less than two years they finally got it working! So before I left I made sure they had the clock set!
