When is it worth the drive?

we are in a Kioti discussion group, but there are lots of people pushing/advising other brands---but yet they dont own or have never owned a Kioti

This is a Kioti forum, it is not limited to Kioti owners, but is open to all who are interested in the brand. I'm not trying to argue, but several posters (myself included) like the Kiotis but don't own them. As for recommending other brands, the thread was started by someone who also was considering a Kubota (he said so), and he brought up Case later in the thread. This forum is to educate us all and in that light it took a few posts just to get to the point where it was realized that the size he started with might be too small. No one tractor is perfect for everyone, and while a tractor might be perfect sometimes a dealer spoils the deal. What size is best is determined by the job. What deal is best is determined by all sorts of factors.

In this case it might just be that a Yellow & White tractor (Cub Cadet) is the best deal, but that is still not decided and only the buyer can decide that. And a non-Kioti owner brought to the attention in this thread that Kioti DK 35, 40 & 45 are the same as the 8000 series Cub Cadets as the Cubs are made by Kioti, and sometimes the Cub version is lower priced. In any case, the Cub prices can be presented to the Kioti dealer to pressure him to lower his price.

Tedmed0302 I notice you just receive your CK20 TLB congratulation . My question to you would be.. Do you use your CK20 in landscaping and if so are you satisfied with the performance. CAG

Yes, it was teh dealer in Ootsburg that I had emailed.

This thread should probably be in the general forum... and it is... sort of...

That's were I started a thread on list prices but didn't hear from Kioti guys so I came over here.

Any opinions on Farmtrac? Couldn't get them on the phone /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif. I'll try again tomorrow.

Thanks for the continued input!

Kipper,

When you have narrowed it down to a couple tractors, for example, 45 HP tractors......you could start a new thread in the Buying-Pricing-Comparison forum and title it, Kioti DK45 verses Farmtrac 450DTC. Then see what responses you get.

There is not a dedicated Farmtrac forum. I think you'll get the most exposure in the forum I mentioned above and by using the specific tractors in the title...you should attract people knowledgeable about Kioti and Farmtrac products.

There's many Kioti owners as well as Kioti dealers willing to answer questions here in the Kioti forum....so any questions about Kioti's ask away.

If I knew what they were or where to find them I would gladly let you know.
Kioti stopped dealers from posting prices on the internet a while back ( I don't like it but thats the way it is /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif)
If dealers are forbidden to show their prices on their websites, Kioti should at least show list pricing on theirs ( my opinion)

Hi Kipper,
We handle both Kioti and Farmtrac. Where in the UP are you? My great grandfather was a copper mine captian, I beleive at Kearsarge. Many family vacations of my youth driving up from the Detroit area to God's country. Now I have found more of God's country here in Arkansas, without all the snow and black flies!
Ah but I digress...

The 450DTC is no longer in the Farmtrac Lineup but would be closest in comparison to the DK45. There may be some still in dealer inventory yet. The Farmtrac utility series, built by Escorts, is now available in 4WD. This is the tractor based on Ford design. A 50HP version with loader should be just under the DK45 in price, the 45HP 545DTC will be even less but these are 8x2 gear trans, not shuttle. (Shuttle provided in the 60 and 72HP sizes). These are not really in the same class. Now if you could use a DK35, Ive got one here that I really need to move! Good luck on your search!
