When will tractor manufacturers finally offer a front 3pt and implements for CUTs

Judging from the way the dirt looks, and the way those guys are dressed, I think the ground is partially frozen during the tillage. Some real nice gear there.

Actually, you do see horses pushing wagons. They don't pull them.

But the load is behind them, not in front of them.

It takes a Hoosier to grasp this concept. I get it because I was born in Kosiusco county. You can't pull something unless you are pushing it.

If the brush hog was in front, the ground bees would have a much easier time finding you !!!

For some implements it would work great, others like a moldboard plow or chisel plow it would not. Lose all traction and be a rough ride. There is a physics equation in there somewhere as far as the amount of energy needed in pushing versus pulling.

Well, I have a tractor with ALL attachments in the front, so here goes....

Ground engaging implements like dirt plows, box blades, etc... are better off in the back. When implements in the front get stuck in the ground, the tractor tends to want to ride up over them, lifting the front wheels off the ground, breaking any 4 wheel drive traction on the front wheels and adding tremendous weight to the rear wheels, increasing their ability to crawl up over the front mounted implement.

Tractors, with their large rear wheels, are fundamentally designed to PULL.

Specialty light cultivating tractors, like a Tuff-Bilt, have a front linkage for shallow row crop cultivating.

Ag size (100+ hp) tractors are so big and strongly built that they can handled a LIMITED amount of front end work. European tractors, which run on roads more than US tractors, frequently have equal size front and rear wheels.

Ohio built Ventrac tractors, which have equal size wheels, are available with Three Point Hitches front and rear. Golf courses buy a lot of Ventracs, which are the right tool to mow slopes. Not too strong at PULLING, relative to a 'regular' tractor.

There is a physics equation in there somewhere as far as the amount of energy needed in pushing versus pulling.

Mostly it is the mechanical advantage of the larger rear wheels, plus tires designed for traction when tractor is moving forward.
