What I find amazing is that no one seemed to notice what he was doing. No crowd or gawkers.

I watched for 2 min and decided to comment. I would not have watched very long in person. I'll bet there were several others things going on that were more interesting; like maybe watching some old guy straignten rusty nails with a hammer and anvil.

Agree with others about the "waste of ______" - including 2 minutes of my life.

I used to regret that fact that I have no artistic ability of any sort - I feel much better now.......

This guy is a poor operator... he cant even control the boom and dipper stick to control a constant pressure and angle of the brush..

companies i worked for during school holidays, had operators that could dig to grade with a 2cm margin, maintaining grade and bucket angle from the full reach to right in front of them

It always amazes me at how many so called artists have absolutely no tallent at all, but don't realize it or think that they are somehow unique in the crap that they create. What I've found to be the case in most so called successful artists is the ability to market themselves and network what they create so that it will sell because of who they are, not what they have done. Celebrities are really famous for this. They made some movies, so now they make paintings and other people buy them because it was painted by so and so. I've also found that the truly gifted artist are extremly rare and tend to be more interested in what they create then making a name for themselves. Not that this guy qualifies as an artist or even entertainment. It almost looked like a gag show or some sort of silly attempt at pan handeling. The masking tape to hold on the broom, the fact that he used a straw broom to paint with and his very limited skils with the excavator all point to somebody who didn't even think this out.

I think I'll get a toothbar first. Even if I ever need to paint the driveway I think I would go with a design similar to Red Green's wringer washer based fence painting machine. I wish I could find a video or even a picture of that to share with you.

I agree with Island. Why weren't there throngs of people watching this master apply his craft?

It seems the master was separated from his craft at some point prior to this video. Pretty sorry operator compared to just about everyone I've worked around.

This is just a sad statement all around.

I repaired computers for IBM for a few years and one of my territories was Aspen CO. one place that I worked sold "art" and hot air ballons. The most ridiculus piece of art I have seen to date was a dried up piece of unfinished cowhide in random shapes attached to a black velvet background in a frame.
These gems started at $2500 and went up from there. It sure would be a good conversation piece...All of them starting with WTF???
