When you get ready to fire up the tractor for the day the way you dress can have a BIG bearing on your comfort as well as safety. Don't wear loose clothing that can easily be caught in moving fan belts or rotating equipment. Wear comfortable shoes and clothes so that you don't become overheated while operating your tractor for the day. I tend to overdress a bit and as the day warms up I can take something off like a light jacket or sweatshirt to remain comfortable without stopping to redress. The attached picture is typical of what I look like before I fire up the RFM on the TC-40D for the day. I can't figure out if the cars honking while passing my lot are admiring my tractor or my grass.......... /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I wouldn't wear a monkey suit like that one if I was the Father of the Bride. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

There was a time suit coats were regularly worn for the working environment. My Grandfather always wore one unless it got too warm.

I'm comfortable, always ride on sulky/cart or walk behind my Gravely naked. Only way to go. No clothing to get snagged.

Slamfire when you first hold your infant daughter in your arms you just know someday she's going to break your heart when it's time to give her hand away in marriage. When your then grown daughter picks out the tux, I guarantee that you don't argue about color or how it looks.

OK, I admit it this isn't Green Acres, we do wear blue jeans the majority of the time here. This particular picture was taken of me just a couple of short years ago when I gave my daughters hand in marriage. It was both a happy and a sad day at the same time, but certainly one that no father should ever miss in his lifetime. Rhonda and Jon make their home in Indiana so I don't get to see them as often as I would like.

Thought I would pull your leg for once since the Junkman seems to do it on a regular basis here at the TBN site.

Be careful out there!

Not necessarily true. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif I'm with slamfire; never worn a tux and not going to. And when my youngest daughter was getting married, I told her I'd only go walk her down the isle if I could come in the coveralls I always wear, and she said that was fine with her. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif But then my wife went and bought a new suit and I had to wear it. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Bird, it's easy to see who holds the reins of power in your house. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif Don't worry, I'm in the same boat ... see below.

OK, I'll admit it, I have a tux tucked away in the back of my closet. The only good thing is that it must gave shrunk during storage so I can't wear it anymore (don't want to) but she who must be obeyed won't let me get rid of it. She says that it should be my goal to lose enough weight so that I can wear it comfortably again. (She doesn't realize that it wasn't all that comfortable when I wore it before). Pass the ice cream and chocolate chip cookies 'cos that ain't goin' to happen.
