when's a good time to pick up a mower?

That looks just like a Woods. How does your ck35 handle the 7 footer? Originally I was shooting for one that size, but they seem harder to come by.

milkman--quite often I use my B7800 with my 7 ft mower and it handles it just fine. I'm not mowing two feet of grass but rather normal overgrown lawn.

Piece of cake. Figure out what it will cost to buy the tractor and then figure out what it could be sold for maybe next month. Let's say the difference is $600 so that's what your tractor would "cost" for the sake of conversation with your wife. Except for the inflation aspect so you could very well sell for more than you paid. Now, she likely spends more on shoes
In essence it cost you very little or nothing to own that tractor, especially if you keep it pristine, as I know you will. $600 or so to keep you happy and off the streets is a deal to any wife.

That's actually not a bad approach. Based on previous real-life events, she knows the last tractor I sold brought only 1700 less than I paid for it after 10 years of ownership. So it really did only cost me $170 a year to own that tractor. But I need to have the deal lined up and the timing has to be right, otherwise experience has shown me that if she's unhappy with my spending she'll start some spending of her own. For this weekend I'll just stick to doctoring my latest purchase.

My dad bought a new Pony by Troy Built Riding mower at lowes in Hutchinson KS and it was snowing really heavy out.

He didn't have his trailer with him when he bought it and was gonna wait to pick it up in a few days with his trailer at home.

He didn't bring the trailer as he wasn't planning on purchasing the mower.

But he decided he couldn't wait to get his mower home so he purchased another trailer from lowes so he could get it home. lol

My mom told him you already have the exact same trailer you just bought from lowes a few months ago do you really need another one? xd

He said. I sure do. It was just an excuse to have another trailer along with his shiny new mower.

I would've done the same too if I had the money. I'd purchase me another trailer and get my new toy home the same day.

A few months ago he purchased another riding mower at TSC. But this time he had his trailer with him.

I have a riding mower here in Arkansas to take care of the lawn mowing. But he decided to leave his new Troy built here with me so I could mow the grass on his property here.

So he told mom he needed another one to mow the lawn in Kansas as he didn't want to keep hauling one back and forth the 500 miles.

He took out a loan with a bank for the Troy Built and the trailer. Then took out another loan for the new Husky riding mower.

I hope to one day come home with a Bulldozer, a huge Excavator, Dump Truck etc. "But that is probably just a pipe dream."

As they say. Boys don't grow up our toys just get bigger and more expensive. :laughing:

Every year or so, just enough to equalize any wear that might befall one wheel/tire over another.
