Believe me there's plenty of beak clashing and fighting going on. I took those pics right before dark when the big swarm comes in to feed before the long night. They're usually a little more docile then. In the morning and through the day if you're sitting on the deck you'd better have a firm grip on your coffee and not be easily spooked or you'll spill it when you get buzzed and dive bombed. Both the males and the females put up a pretty good fight.
