where are the old attachments?

Where are the attachments that are older than 1-1-2001? Some posts have attachments, but those dated prior to 1-1-2001 are not in the system.

You ought to repost this in the forum feedback forum. Muhammad, the webmaster, seems to monitor that forum most frequently.

It's a good question. I, too, notice photo attachments missing from lots of old posts.

There's an old farmer and farm yard about 4 miles down the road aways, he's got everything you can imagine in his front yard. Tons and tons of things some of which I've never seen before,
That guy doesn't throw anything away. I bet you could find the attachments your looking for there.

He's not talking about Tractor attachments. . . . I think he's talking about file attachments to the postings.

We have the attachments prior to 1/1/01, but they aren't online in the attachments directory. This had to do with our server change and a lack of disk space before the change. Now that we have the disk space for all the attachments from '00, we still need to import them. Problem we were having was with file names, which need to be exact for the attachments to view properly. When we get a chance, we'll try to get them online.

I love the humor here!!! Muhammad, could these be posted to an FTP site so some may go through them and get the ones they need? If you will have them up shortly though, that will be a mute point!

We're considering something more along the lines of a browsable thumbnail directory for the photos, since just a directory listing wouldn't be all that useful, IMO, since you'd have to just guess. I'll check on the status of this soon and see if we can get the files back up soon.

Muhammad, the ancient code of webmasters requires that this problem be solved. I distinctly remember you begging, pleading, importuning and even asking for more and more pictures. You and Harv and some others have significantly increased the sales of digital cameras among tractorfolks and probably the entire universe. Harv has perfected the self-portrait tripod sprint, and countless others have gone undergone efforts to post pictures that range from the sublime to the ridiculous.
