Where can I safely lift from?

I ended up lifting right in the center under the draw bar area. I used a 3 1/2 ton floor jack with a piece of carpet between it and the bottom of the tractor. I had the loader all the way down and I placed some wood in front of the front tires. I jacked up the rear end until the tires were about two inches off the ground. Then a placed both my 3 1/2 ton jack stands under the axle, one on each side with some carpet between them and the axle. I then lowered the jack until the tractor was resting firmly on the jack stands. After I had installed the rear remotes and had everything back together I found out that the new lever for the rear remote is hitting the lever for the 3 point. I don't know if the new lever is bent wrong or if the lever for the 3 point is bent wrong. I will have to live with it for now until I can speak with my dealer about it.

Here is a pic of the rear remotes (If only I had something to hook to them)

Center under the draw bar. That's the same lift point I use. On my tractor its really the only good spot you can lift from in the back. Smart and safe to use jackstands too. I once knew a guy who got killed when the vehicle he was working under fell off a jack. No blocking under the axle. Sad thing to happen.

New Holland sure has it together with their remote hydraulics kit. Priced right and looks good too!

BTW, in those pictures you seem to still have a lot of snow.../w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Actually that is all new snow since Friday night. Got to play for about 3 hours this morning.

Nice winter scene.

Not much snow left here in southern ME. Highs about +45 degrees F today. /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

I see that you have a Bush Hog rearblade. Bought a 35-07 backblade for the wife's stepdad to use with his FORD/NH 2120.

I have the Bush Hog LLR-60 rake with wheels and the RTS-50 rototiller.

Good stuff.

Spencer,
Nice lake effect /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif . I moved mine here too. By the way, what range do you shoot at?

Yeah, where do you shoot at, I've been to the (North?) Ottawa gun club near Grand Haven.

I see a use for those remotes, just add a cylinder and bracketry to your blade angle.

I shoot at the local range here in Fruitport (just outside of Muskegon). Its called the Muskegon Pistol and Rifle Club. I started shooting there a couple of years ago. All the guys are great, they are always willing share their knowledge. They want me to join the League but I work out of town and I feel I would miss too many matches. We mostly shoot our target 22's on Tuesday nights. I don't know where you can have more fun and still get to breathe all that lead.

You're breathing lead?? Are you sure you have the pointy end of the gun aiming away from you? /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Spencer,
Nice job! What was the cost of your rear remote setup from your dealer? My dealer prices seem waaayy high, around $450 for my TC33D!
