The LS threads have all but died off. Where did all the LS owners go. I know I have been busy at work, perhaps everyone else has too. My tractor is quiet lonesome I am sure with it setting at home and me 7000 miles away. Good news is that the pond I dug with my P 7010C is now full to overflowing due to the snow and rains that we have received during January. The springs are once again flowing like fire hydrant. I got over 18" of water in my pond in one day from spring flow alone. Got my BIL to cut me a relief spillway in the upper end which is what the Ag-extension recommends for overflow. I will come back and build up the lower dam area another foot or so so the pond will hold more water, but for now this seems to be good to go. When I left Jan 12 there was only about 18" of water in it.

I had a good reason to get mine out last Saturday. I had a very overgrown Bradford pear tree in my yard and spent a good part of the day felling it and cutting it up. That FEL was extremely useful in hauling and stacking all of the brush and firewood. It was also a lot of fun picking up the 5ft long 18 in diameter truck and hauling it to the pile as well. As soon as the ground dries out I intend to do more playing by cleaning up and underbrushing at my house and my property up the road. As spring gets here we should be hearing more.

Hello Gary,

Still here but been busy with snow removal and kids and new Maremma sheepdog, been having some huge storms here in the last couple weeks, snowblower and bucket come in real handy and the 7010 is up to the challenge. The heater in the 7010 is especially beautiful when it is -30C with the wind chill and there is 12+ inches of snow down to remove. My driveway is about 500 feet long and I also clear back to my pit area so I can use it in the winter to haul items to burn at a later date.

Tractor has been working wonderfully (knock on wood),and is very good on fuel running at 1950rpm a lot for blower.

Working Garry.
Walked on this property and there was no road in, front half was a jungle, back half was partial fields and well over grown.
I have my 30'x60' barn up now, a road in, a well and water, a fifth wheel to live in while I'm building the house, electricity and even satellite TV.
Thank the Lord I bought my LS.

Hey Gary,

I'm still around too. Been a little busy at work since the holidays. I have been slowly gathering the stuff to add a diverter to the loader valve so I can operate the grapple I bought back in November. The football playoffs and lousy weather and also taken away from my TBN and tractor time.

Ritchie Bros. is having another auction in Houston next week so today I was out there checking out the stuff to see if there's something I just can't live without (if I can get it cheap enough.) I'm guessing I can get a 60" toothed SS bucket for less than an add-on tooth bar for the bucket that came on my loader. Unfortunately, a lot of the stuff out there is too big for my little CUT. Not that I need the competition, but if anyone near Houston needs SS attachments they had a bunch.

Superbowl is tomorrow -- hope you can see it live if you're so inclined.

Glad to see you guys are all having fun in the snow. We got a little 4" or so in Bismarck a couple of days ago, but it is melting away. The best thing about all the snow and rain is that our springs are finally flowing again. We were dry all spring, summer and fall but now with the snows and a couple of good soaking rains, the springs are flowing like rivers. Filled my pond from half full to running over in one night and our large bass pond is starting to fill up quickly also. Surprisingly the run-off is not what is filling them, just the springs.
Glad everyone is having good luck with their LS tractors. That P 7010 is a warhorse. I bent the frame on my landscape rake when I backed it into a 6" diameter pine and then pulled forward. Didnt even feel it till the rake ripped it completely out of the ground. It really did a number on 3 of the tines also but I go the hammered back into shape. Next time I am home, I will have to tackle straightening the frame. I think I can take a chain and attach it on each side of the bend and the use a hydraulic jack to straighten teh 4 x4 tubing. It was just too cold to mess with it during the Christmas holidays. With the temps here in Nigeria hovering around 100 F, it is hard to imagine the -30C temps you guys are having.

A few more years like this one and I may invest in a snow blower. We have had 4 pretty good snows in Bismarck this year. I spoke to a guy from Northern Louisiana and he said they had 12 snow storms already. This is from a place where I grew up and I was 13 years old before I saw my first snowflake. Thank God for Al Gore and his global warming. No telling what we would all be getting if not for the global heat wave. Now I know that if you talk to one of the "believers" they will tell you that the reason we are having all this freezing temps and snow all over the world is because the earth is warming up and that is causing the bizarre weather. MAKES SENSE TO ME!!!!!

Hi guys. I am in the market for a 30hp tractor and have been looking at the LS models. They look like a nice tractor. I looked at the 3010 and 4010 models and was quoted $13900 and $19000 respectively. Having only 1 LS dealer in my area makes it hard to comparison shop. Do these prices seem about right?
Thanks.
