Where do I get a skid plate for a 4410??

I heard from the dealer that JD doesn't make them anymore for that tractor. Used to be called or a part of the forestry package. Do I have to get someone to make it??

There is something called XtraArmor, I am dealer salesman myself and have sold some of this but not recently. I have not checked to see if it is still available but I will in the morning and reply. There may even be an aftermarket supplier in your area that has this.

The skid plates are part of the Rental Upgrade Kit. The aftrmarket site doesn't list them, but I will be checking if it is still available. I will sure be kicking myself if it isn't!!

Hey Mike - when I checked on this, and the armor kit, the dealer couldn't sell me one piece, I had to buy an entire kit (didn't want the entire kit(/forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif) . Do you think you can buy the underbody plate all by itself?

I ordered the skid plate set today, (my valentines present...) I'll let you know what happens!

Most parts will be available for a LONG time. But skid plates are accessories that usually only sell at original purchase (like to rental yards...) They arre the kind of thing that dissappears quickly.

I would suggest that owners go through the optional accessories and consider ordering any that they think they would be sorry not having done so. I also ordered the creeper option, because I hate blank spots on the console...

What do they look like, what do they cover, how bout some pics. Sounds interesting, wonder if any other make has similar packages? Interesting.

No pics for a while but they cover the back half of a JD that has all the hoses and lines that are kind of exposed. Not much like that in the front so it isn't necessary up there.

Any chance the skid plate is compatible with a mid-PTO and MMM? I'd love to get one but wouldn't be very appealing to have to remove it every time I installed the MMM.

I have mine 2/3 installed.

It is very nice. I was concerned that i would have to remove it for filter changes, but they had that figured out. There are still lots of ways for brush to cause issues even with the skid plates. I may still end up doing some mods with expanded metal. But the real risk is for big rocks and whatnot, and these will definately be worth their price!

I cannot see any way that it would interfere with the mid pto and mower, but i would check with a dealer...

Again, I would highly recommend them....
