Where do YOU live?

Yeah, and in Texas, too, in most cases. Then you have to know whether it's NE, NW, SE, or SW /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif. I used to live at 18872 Northwest County Road 3360, which makes it a long address to write out. However, mail was frequently addressed "18872 NW CR 3360" so some came addressed to "18872 NW Circle 3360". /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif But at least in a little town, it really didn't matter whether it had an address or not. If it just had a name on it, the postman knew everyone and where they lived. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Well 4310 is actually a very important number, it tells how far I live from Texas!!! (431 miles..) Is that TOO close?

Just depends, I guess, Mike. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif You know I'm a native of Carter County, OK, myself; only lived in Texas since 1956. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

So, like, in 10 years or so you get to be a Texican?!!

I always figured I could claim to be a Texican since my old granddaddy was a native Texan (Bowie) before his family moved to Indian Territory when he was 5 years old. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

My address on Township Road 72 doesn't work at all with my tractors - NH 1920 and JD GT 245 - but I'm a firefighter assigned to Ladder 72, working out of Station 72. Good enough for me...

I remember watching that old show Emergency! so know you don't have to work much, all the dispatches go to Station 51... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

My property is on OLD US 30 which is now named as the center line road for my township. If it did bear a number it would be 00. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

A more interesting thing about the road on which I'm located is that it was a part of the original Lincoln Highway here. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

For those of you who don't know, the Lincoln Highway was America's first transcontinental highway for automobiles. Kind of a neat little bit of history right at the end of my drive here. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
