Where Does One Go to Get Injectors Rebuilt

I recently replaced the injectors on my tractor because there was to much leaking of fuel into the crankcase. The repair shop suggested I get the old injectors rebuilt in case I need one in the future.

I live up in north Idaho so services are rather limited. Can someone help direct me to a source that does this kind of thing and verify for me that rebuilding your injectors is a cost effective way of doing things instead of just buying new ones. Each injector for my application is about $85.00.

If new injectors are only $85 then buy them. Rebuilding will cost about that much. If there isn't a diesel fuel injection shop in the area, then you can always mail injectors to a shop.

Any decent diesel shop should be able to help you out. If you can't find one, ask the guys at the local truck stop Did the people that sold you the new ones offer to check the old ones first?

Thanks for your response. Yep the repair shop definately checked them out to make sure they were working and found two out of the three to be having problems.

My neighbor owns a diesel injector shop. I am not sure what he gets to rebuild them but here is a link. I know he does a lot of mail order stuff so its not uncommon for him to rebuild injectors from all over the country.

How far north Idaho? Meads equipment and diesel in Bonners ferry is as good as they get. They have full injector services rebuiding, testing and removal and installation if you haul your machine to them. They did a D-6c water pump for me even. The neighbor has taken injection pumps, injectors, whole tractors there for engine rebuilds and has been very happy with the service.
