What kind of spidey is that? Looks a lot like the hobo spiders I have in my shed. But I think I almost backed into one just like this with my ROPS one time when I was mowing this past summer. Yikes!

...and I have plenty of wasps down here in East TX, too. Come get you some, ha!

They call them writing spiders, they usually build circular webs to catch flying bugs/insects. Beautiful spider if a spider can be considered beautiful

We call them Ladybugs. They come in October and leave in April. Shopvac is the only effective control weapon I've found. Yes, it IS impossible to keep them outside.

No shortage of wasps around here.

When I was a lad we had ladybugs. The chinese lady beetles are a cousin I think introduced by the USDA in the 70's to control aphids in crops. Reminds me of what happened in Australia when they imported the cane toads from South America...no natural enemies and they are a big problem (those toads can get to 2 lbs. and squirt a poison that will temporarily blind any threat). So now we have chinese lady beetles. And some chinese pallets apparently gave us the emerald ash borer that will destroy the ash trees like dutch elm disease did to elms (baseball bats will be shifting to hard maple soon). We brought a few species of carp into the country to fix algae...you can google that result.

An old margarine commercial used to say "it's not nice to fool with mother nature".
