I am looking forward to some tractor time over the holidays. It has been a long tour this time and looking forward to getting on that west bound plane in 9 more days. Touch down in Little Rock Ark. scheduled for 0930 hours 24th Dec. Just in time to do all that last minute shopping.

Ain't heard anything from you in days and just wondering. I'm guessing that messed up weather in Europe might have slowed you down some. Then again I suppose you might be on the ground stateside and heading to the mall for that last minute shopping. Let us know when you get back and have a Merry Christmas.

Hey guys, I made it home Christmas eve. Been busy with kids and grand kids for the last week. We had 17 guest for the holidays. We are down to 3 now. I actually got to drive my tractor a little a couple of days ago clearing out some fence line. Yesterday I took 3 of the grandkids out for a spin. The two 4 year olds actually done pretty good driving with only a little help from Grandpa. We have had a little cold weather here in Bismarck for the last few days, it was 19F this morning. I still didnt get to the fence building, the ground froze pretty hard last night.
How was everyones Christmas, any tractors in the stocking?

LittleBlue Tractor: Nice to be missed. We only had 4 computers in the house, not counting the Iphones etc for internet access and it was tough to find one that the kids werent using. I did get in a few messages sometimes when everyone was asleep. Kids today cant be away from the net too long or the go comatose and they are lots quieter on a computer also.
Hope you had a great Christmas. Ours was great to have all the kids and grandkids here, but man was it hectic. Gotta wait a few years for that to happen again.

Welcome back Gary. I saw a post from you on Christmas and figured you made it back OK. I didn't get any new tractor stuff in my stocking, but can't complain considering all the stuff I picked up throughout the year. Finally got a chance to install my rear hyd remote kit during the holidays -- it was a bit of a pain but I got it done. (Noticed in hydraulics forum that I may have screwed up by using teflon tape on some of the connections. Oh well....)

Good thing you got a cab on that 7010 -- considering the weather up there you might not be getting much of anything done otherwise. Have a great break.

You should be ok on your hydraulic lines as long as you didnt overwrap the end of the nipples. Where the problem comes in is when you break back into the lines. Then the teflon tape shreds and is really hard to clean it all out. As long as you leave the threads alone and dont loosen them up you will be fine. I questioned my dealer when I bought my tractor about installing remotes and he said you just about have to dismantle the entire rear end of the tractor to do the job which is why it is so expensive to retrofit. When assembling them, the job is a 30 minute job and $100 worth of materials that turns into $1500 (much more if you have a cab as it has to come off) LS is being very proactive on their larger tractors by putting them on at the factory. Do you know where the size break is with not having them?

According to the brochure I got when I got mine back in Dec 09 they are options on the S3010 and below. C3030-U5030 come with 2 sets and the 70 series comes with 3. Not bad -- anything other than the bare minimum value models comes with 2 or more. Another reason to look hard at LS before going with one of the big three IMHO.

That is true, now if we could get a few more die hard Kubota and JD guys on board with this, we could assure more dealers across the country. Some folks just know orange and green. I remember when a friend bought the first Kubota I had ever heard of to mow his lawn. This was back in the early 70's if I recall correctly. Everyone made fun of it then as Japanese trash just like the rest of the Japanese junk back then but they perservered and now folks think of them as USA tractors.

You know...I saw in my research that LS was originally part of the Hyundai corporation. Not sure how Hyundai sold that off to Golstar/LG Cable, but I have driven Hyundai's for years. I have one now that is 10 years old and still runs like a champ. Its my daily car. When I bought my first Hyundai, it, like LS, had more features than any of its American or Japanese counterparts for less money. I took a lot of razzing about it, and still do. Now, I'm looking to probably buy another Korean/Hyundai related product...and didn't even know that when I first started eyeing them....so, if the LS serves me as well as my other Korean products, don't know why I shouldn't have it for years to come. Interestingly, one reason for buying Hyundai was the standard 5 year 100K mile warranty...which they invented and now others have tried to imitate...and LS, another Korean product, originally related to Hyundai, offers the same outstanding warranty....I guess I'm attacted to Korean products...go figure.

We have a 2010 Hyundai Tuscon, our first car to top 30 mpg. It is equal to most other mfrs. in my opinion. But yes, I was reluctant to buy korean after driving Toyota's for years. Jy.

I had a Sonata originally, but my Accent gets 35mpg, been getting that for years...way before anyone got upset with $4/gallon gasoline....hopefully the LS will do as well on diesel cause those prices are through the roof again..
