It's been awful quite around here this week, where is everyone? I'm looking forward to tomorrow, so I can get back on my tractor and have a little fun! (and get a little work done)!
Let's report in !

Lurking... too hot in SE Ga to do much of anything.. seat time is on my mind, but I am an inside worker and the 90+ temps are killing me.

I mowed grass, used the brush cutter, and put the grill guard back on my tractor after having expanded metal welded on it. I also painted the metal. I did this yesterday. I went grocery shopping this morning and made lunch for my Wife and Son. I plan on relaxing the rest of the day and being on TBN. I utilize TBN to relax and learn. BTW, the temperatures are also humid here. It was hot but cloudy yesterday. This provided some relief from the Sun's rays. BTW, I found out yesterday just how expensive Kubota brand spray paint is a can is.

Yep, I can understand the heat keeping everyone in. Must be "dog days"! Here on the Mississippi coast it's been topping the triple digits, and with the regular thunderstorms, the humidity is ridiculous. I usually have dinner at my daughters house on Sunday, then after my nap, hah!, it's time to get on the tractor for a while!

I hope to get a little brush cleared tomorrow. At least I'm under some trees, so there is some shade. I've also got some tractor maintenance to do. My little Kubota needs the fan belt tightened, and my Craftsman garden tractor needs a new drive belt. It's getting to the point where when I push the clutch in, the belt wants to jump off. Figure it's time for a new belt.

Well, hope everyone has a good weekend!

Trying to figure out how to quinch the grass's thirst since mother nature won't do it here in Indiana.

I finally found a boulder that the LS wont lift. I put my 1500 + pound bushhog on the back for ballast and went to our rock pile to remove the last of the big boulders and dirt pile left over from the pond dig. Using my B26 to help shove the biggest boulder into the bucket, the LS wouldnt lift it or curl it. I finally got it out of the pile and into the bucket so I could shove it. I slide the FEL along with it slightly curly to keep the blade out of the dirt and shoved this huge rock about 300 feet into a washout along the creek. I have to go take a picture of it in location as I forgot the camera (as usual). Using both tractors, my brother in law and I got everything scooped up and moved. We used the rest of the rocks and dirt to build a dam in his pond sluice so it will hold about 3 more feet of water, if we ever get any rain. We had enough rocks to completely close up the overflow sluice and then added the dirt as filler. I used the backhoe to position all the rocks for close fit as possible then added all the dirt. Now just waiting for some rain to see if it holds.

I just looked at my weather station on my back porch. It's 103.5 in the shade and not much of a breeze to provide any cooling. It has been 105 everyday by 4 pm so I think today will be the same.
After being out in the heat all day yesterday, first fixing barbed wire fencing and then moving the rocks, I am house bound today. Heck even the dog has to be coaxed to go out.

Gary,
I was up in your part of the country a couple of weeks ago. We went up to Benton, AR for one of the grandkids baseball tournaments. And yes, It was some kind of hot up there! We've been getting almost daily thunder showers down here, so it has helped with the heat somewhat.
I did manage to get a few hours on the tractor today.

It's been ok up in Pa been out on the tractor quite a bit this year. Don't get me wrong it's been hot up in the upper 90's way more that I like it to be that is really hot for our area nothing like what you guys get but for us it is way out of the norm. What makes the temperature managable at my house is living less that a 1/2 mile off the glay banks of lake Erie we get a pretty good breeze of of the lake well most of the time that is, but still not like what you have. Hay has anyone else noticed the things that others say about LS in the other forums?
